FLIGHT INSIGHT
Aviation Safety Audit Program

Safety Matters
Flight Insight’s audit program provides a systematic and independent examination to determine whether the operator’s processes, products and services comply with safety-related regulations and if they have been implemented effectively and are suitable to achieve expected results.
A safety Audit should identify “Risk and Exposure” throughout the organization, taking into full consideration all operational activities including any outsourced activities.
The goal of the Safety Audit is to develop an initial understanding regarding internal hazardous exposures. Safety auditing is a core safety management activity, providing a means of identifying potential problems before they have an impact on safety.

Audits are conducted to assess the degree of compliance with civil aviation regulations compliance, company safety policy & procedures and industry best practices.
Audits are used to ensure:
- The degree of compliance with the applicable safety regulatory requirements;
- Potential exposures driven by organisation weakness;
- Potential exposure driven by organisation culture;
- Potential issues associated with Competency;
- Potential issues associated with Training;
- Evaluate management issues that could result in aviation hazards.
- Organisation’s SMS has a sound structure and adequate staffing levels;
- Equipment performance is adequate for the safety levels of the service provided;
- Effective arrangements exist for promoting safety, monitoring safety performance and processing safety issues;
- Adequate arrangements exist to handle foreseeable emergencies.
"There’s simply no substitute in experience in terms of aviation safety."
